Pig Bladders
Furoshiki is a wonderful idea! I love the eco-friendliness of purpose, the use in gift-giving (or giving a gift within a gift), and its creative decorating uses. Thank you for your enlightening post, Raven's Nest. Related links: How to use Furoshiki. Preventing garbage with traditional wrapping. Artist in Bloom. Design Boner. Buy wrapping cloths.
Nicholas Da Silva -- a most engaging and creative fellow -- tells me Hitless is officially live with a free download of the first issue of his comic book, Hitless: Ambush. Distinctive electronic/techno soundtrack available through the "soundtrack" link.
Wow! Are these tile murals by artist David Delamare gorgeous, or what?
As far as album cover art goes, this illustration for a Gentle Giant album is a beaut, no? (via Tralfaz Archives.) Amazing what one can find when googling "octopus art", but then i've always been rather fond of creatures who sport tentacles. Surprised? Heck, i may be a cranky old broad, but i'm a cranky old broad with layers, dontcha know.
How twilightzoney. About 45 minutes after finding the Gentle Giant cover mentioned above, i found it again when futher investigation of the same google search produced Octopia. Be returning there often, i expect.
Through her paintings, Eli Tiunine presents us her personal vision of fundamental myths of our civilisation. Her paintbrush covers mythology, philosophies, Christian iconography, dramas and pleasures of our spirit and of our flesh.

I'm always a tad skeptical when it comes to self-improvement tools. Then again, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'll think about it for a day or two. Tools To Life.
"Life is short, misery sure, mortality certain. But on the way, why not carry those two inflated pig bladders labeled Zest and Gusto." Ray Bradbury -- Found this quote via Patry Francis. Isn't she a pip?
"She told me I was sun beauty because I was young. Bright and shiny, she said. My grandmother was moon beauty. Old people, especially old women, were beautiful like the moon. Both sun and moon beauty were good, but those with moon beauty knew more secrets because they knew about things and places where the sun did not shine." -- from Church of the Old Mermaids. Moon beauty. Another lovely idea. Think i'll add it to my growing list of goals, perhaps share the list in the sidebar later today. Anyone who doesn't believe in what i call "deeper magic", has never met a good storyteller. Kim Antieau has the former, is the latter.
